Yes, and for many everyday and fitness features, you can leave your phone behind.
Reflex Active smartwatches are designed so the core health and activity tracking works independently once the watch is set up. Connectivity features, however, rely on a Bluetooth link to your phone.
Here’s exactly what you can and can’t do without your phone nearby.
What Works Completely
Offline
Once paired and set up via the Reflex Active app, these features continue to function even when your phone is out of range or switched off:
● Step counting and daily activity: automatic tracking using the accelerometer and gyroscope.
● Heart rate monitoring: continuous or on-demand readings.
● Sleep analysis: duration and quality when worn overnight.
● Blood oxygen (SpO₂), calories and other wellness metrics.
● Sports modes: start a workout on the watch (walking, running, cycling, hiking, etc.) and it records time, heart rate and estimated calories using motion sensors.
● Timekeeping features: dual time zones, alarms, timer and stopwatch.
● Always-On display (on AMOLED models such as the Spectra series).
These are the features most people use day-to-day, so a Reflex Active watch remains useful on a run, at the gym, or around the house even if your phone is charging in another room.
